--- What lennon mason felt for india rutherford was characterized by teasing words and an inexplicable electric charge that filled whichever room they were in. it was a power struggle between the two of them; one minute, they'd be perfectly friendly and the next, the male would want nothing more than to throttle her. luckily for him, he didn't see her often and thus, was not required to keep his emotions in check. not that he cared what she thought, of course. he was above that - people who took into account how others viewed them were absolutely ridiculous. who cared what they thought? all his life, lennon had been labeled as arrogant and egotistical and though that was somewhat true, such labels stemmed from the fact that he didn't care what others thought. after all, why should he? the only person he cared about was his sister and even then, there were times he hated her.
--- That night was not one of them though. twenty minutes prior, blair had left his beach house and now he was alone, sprawled out across his futon. it was friday night and there was absolutely nothing to do. it drove him insane. frowning, he rose from his bed, learn arms crossed across his broad chest. grabbing up his laptop, he peered at the screen intently. ah, it seemed that he wasn't the only one at home tonight. with a devilish grin, he double-clicked the female's name, the sound of the call filling the hallway as he made his way outside. once her face appeared across his screen, he set the laptop down on one of the tables, taking a seat in one of the comfortable lawnchairs. "i thought i'd save you from death by boredom. you don't have to thank me."
